August/September – Welcome back --

 

Tue 8/26  Fall Roundup for NEW Cub Scouts. 7:00 PM in the Marteen Room

 

Wed 9/2  (all dens--- Bears, Wolves & Tigers) will have their

First Den Meeting of the new school year at 6:30–7:45 pm in the Marteen Room

 

Wed 9/16  (all dens--- Bears, Wolves & Tigers) will have their

6:00–7:15 pm (NOTE LOCATION CORRECTION) in the WEIKER ROOM (Gym)

 

Sun 9/27  (all dens)  3:00 pm – 4:30 pm PACK MEETING & the annual Raingutter Regatta races in the Marteen Room. This will be the opening pack meeting (for all dens and family members).  We will have an opening ceremony, awards ceremony and the Raingutter Regatta 2009, so bring your sailboats!  Siblings may also race a sailboat.  (Kits for siblings are available for $5).

(SET-UP will be from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Please let me know if you can help)

Sat 10/24 The Haunted Woods (CLICK HERE for Flyer for details and directions—this is an optional event, but encouraged especially for Tigers, Wolves & Bears).The Haunted Woods hike/trick-or-treat will once again be at Tunnel Mill Scout Camp outside of Charlestown, Indiana.  Cub Scouts, their family and friends are welcome.   Kids will receive a Haunted Woods Patch and collect a bag of goodies & participants hike the 2.5 trail anytime between 11 am – 3 Pm.  Dress for the weather—Haunted Woods is held rain or shine.  The cost is $5 per scout (or sibling/friend that wants to collect goodies) in advance by Oct 16th and $8 per scout (or sibling/friend) after that date.

Sat 10/31st  Pack Mtg 5 – 6:30 pm Marteen Room ---There will be a Halloween Costume  Contest – All scouts and all family members/friends are encouraged to come dressed in a Halloween costume.  There will be a pack meeting, awards ceremony and Halloween Costume contest (Awards will be presented for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each Den (for scouts), for each adult family member and siblings.

November - Scouting for Food,   

Popcorn Distribution

Thanksgiving Pack Meeting 

 

Wed 11/11  Den Mtg 6:30- 7:45 pm Marteen Room

 

Sat 11/14 – All Dens--meet at 9 am at the church parking lot to distribute flyers for Scouting for Food—our 1st community service project of the year. 

 

Sat. 11/21 – Food Collection Service Project ‘06/Nov Pack Meeting

9 am – 1 pm -  All dens (& any willing family member's and friends) are needed to help collect food for the needy. 

Scouting for Food is a National service project of BSA that all packs and troops participate in and an event that greatly benefits our community.  At 9 am we will gather at the church parking lot, go house to house to pick up the food and take it to a local food shelter (The boys really enjoyed taking the food to the food bank and seeing the results of their efforts).  Last year we collected over 1600 food items.
